Branding in the

Field of Voice Over (2nd Week)

CVAP Takeaways

2nd WEEK : CVAP TAKEAWAYS

The 2nd Week Lesson we had during the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP) Workshop, zeroed in on the great impact of branding in the voice over field. That is, the importance of it in building a career in that aspect.

Branding also requires the creation of an "image" based on the element of sound. As what Sir Pocholo De Leon Gonzales mentioned, we should have our SIGNATURE VOICE. Voice that is associated with a specific type or style that could be developed through constant practice and care.

Further, the Voicemaster stressed out that aside from making a mark in this voice acting industry, as voice artists we should also concentrate our efforts on niche branding. We should find an area that we are both knowledgeable about and that we love.

Finding a niche should ideally be something we can see ourselves being passionate about for at least a couple of years. Our heart and brain should also complement each other in choosing our niche that would sell our interpretative skill and sound quality.

In addition Sir Pocholo De Leon Gonzales underscored that everyone must make a LOGO, as the visual representation of our brand.
